Wishlist

I created an application that I hope will make holiday and birthday shopping for family members even easier and more fun that it already is. I got the idea last Christmas when I was shopping for gifts. Before buying something for someone, I'd call other family members to coordinate to make sure they hadn't already purchased the gift I was thinking about getting, so we wouldn't duplicate our efforts. I realized that it'd be much easier if everyone had one central location where you could see a list of everything everybody wanted, that could be updated as soon as something was purchased.

So I created an online Wishlist on my website where you can enter all the things you want, as well as descriptions (if there are particular sizes or colors, or other details) and also suggested retail outlet if you know they have it at a certain store or you have a link to it online. Then, when you look at the Wishlist, you can see everything that everyone else has entered. However, you won't see the items that you entered for yourself, only the other family members will be able to see that, so that you won't know which things people might have gotten for you. Also, if someone doesn't get everything on their list for Christmas, they don't have to ask again when their birthday rolls around, because it'll still be on the list.
