About Me

I am a web developer specializing in standards-compliant XHTML/CSS, content management systems and Information Architecture. I am a musician and writer. And I'm daddy to a beautiful little girl and an amazing little boy.

I was born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and attended Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, where I graduated with a double major in English and Music in 1997.

From 1998 to 2007 I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I worked in a number of industries including Music, Marketing, Public Relations, Technology, Non-profit, Publishing, and Education. Some of my past job titles include:

  • Video Game Programmer at Sega, Inc., where I worked on a game for the Sega Dreamcast system called "Seaman."
  • QA Engineer at Round1 USA, an online financial services startup. Another brilliant idea that never really found its niche, Round1 attempted to transform the venture-capital marketplace by becoming the first online VC portal for investors to find companies to invest in. Unfortunately, it was a victim of the dot.com bust, and the post-9/11 economic downturn that followed.
  • Editorial Assistant at SonicNet.com, an online music magazine that focused largely on punk and hip hop. It was eventually bought by MTV networks.
  • Marketing Assistant at Fritz Institute, a non-profit dedicated to improving the efficiency of the delivery of humanitarian relief supplies and revolutionizing the humanitarian aid supply chain.
  • Guitar Teacher at Marin Country Day School in Corte Madera, CA.

I'm currently employed as Webmaster and Director of Web Services for my alma mater Marietta College, as well as performing freelance web design. I also play jazz guitar every monday night at the Blennerhasset Hotel in Parkersburg, WV.
